PowerTest has assembled a highly qualified management team that draws from a broad range of professional experience in software development, application performance management, testing, and quality assurance.

Tom Lynch


Tom Lynch has over 25 years experience in management, sales, finance and information systems. He has managed the day-to-day operations of PowerTest since its inception in September 1995. During 1998, he co-founded a software development consulting firm as a sister company to PowerTest. Before co-founding PowerTest, Tom co-founded three regional personnel services firms, worked in the treasury department of a $1 billion conglomerate, worked in public accounting with Touche Ross & Co., and served as an officer in the U.S. Coast Guard. He is a CPA and graduate of the U.S. Coast Guard Academy.

John Calabrese

Managing Principal

John Calabrese manages the day-to-day aspects of PowerTest’s East Coast operation. He began his career with PowerTest as manager of sales and marketing. From 1996 to 1999, John helped build PowerTest’s professional services and software reselling practices in the San Francisco Bay Area. He relocated to Virginia and opened PowerTest’s Washington D.C. Metro Area office. John earned recognition as a certified product instructor and certified product specialist with Mercury Interactive’s automated software test tools. He has worked in various management and hands-on positions involving test automation, retail management and business development for both established and startup firms. John graduated with a B.S. in Marketing from San Francisco State.

Teresa Fontanilla

VP, Operations

Teresa Fontanilla manages PowerTest’s day-to-day operational activities, which include resource assignment and recruiting, contracts, sales support, systems, human resources, and administration. Prior to joining PowerTest in 2000, she held a variety of management and administrative positions with Versata and Inland Paperboard and Packaging. While at Inland, Teresa had global responsibility for service delivery and customer satisfaction for several of Inland’s Fortune 500 Strategic Supply Alliances within the Food and Beverage Industry. She holds a degree in Liberal Arts.

James Pulley

Director, Professional Services

James Pulley manages the professional services activities of PowerTest’s office in Fort Mill, SC (near Charlotte, NC). He has held project management, technical and training positions in the software testing and development arena since 1991. Prior employers include Mercury Interactive, NetIQ, ePresence/Banyan Systems, and Microsoft. James earned recognition as a certified product instructor and certified product specialist with Mercury Interactive’s automated software test tools. He graduated with a B.A in Computer Science from Furman University.

Andrew Hunter

Director, Professional Services, Western Region

Andrew Hunter manages the professional services activities for PowerTest’s Western Region. He has over 20 years experience in the Software Quality Assurance industry. Prior to joining PowerTest in 1998, Andrew held positions with GRiD Systems, Aspect Telecommunication and various startup ventures such as Lumina Office Products and PictureWorks. He has managed professional services for many PowerTest clients such as Cisco Systems, Seagate, Fujitsu, and McKesson, just to name a few. Andrew has expertise in QA process, test automation framework design and implementation, and application security testing. He graduated with a BS in Computer Engineering from California State University, Chico.
